DCP Carl Williams

Carl Williams, Justice of the Peace, is the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Crime Portfolio and 29 year veteran of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Having enlisted in the JCF in 1984, Mr. Williams rose steadily through the ranks to reach the rank of DCP, holding numerous supervisory and command positions at the station, division, and area levels, in addition to his most recent assignment as the Director of MOCA. As a former Chief of Narcotics, Mr. Williams was responsible for programmes aimed at reducing the supply of illegal drugs in Jamaica, and spearheaded numerous successful initiatives to target domestic and international elements of the trade in narcotics. One of his most recent initiative to develop a multi-sector Task Force to target lottery scamming in Jamaica has already generated significant success, and has brought the issue to national attention.
